In this modern era where there is so much that should unite us, it is disheartening that so many of us face hate, discrimination and oppression while going about our daily lives.
The York Region District School Board is aware of this challenge and is in the process of developing its Dismantling Hate and Oppression Framework.
We asked and you answered. You completed surveys, participated in fireside chats and one on one interviews, sent emails, and chatted with us via phonecall. We appreciate your participation in this process.
We are currently in our knowledge mobilization phase and are in the process of synthesizing the data.
We crave your patience as we work on amplifying the voices that we heard during the data collection phase, and presenting this in the form of a report. This data will also form a basis of our recommendations to the Board, and the creation of the Dismantling Hate and Oppression Framework.
